Baxter is a robot developed for the industry of Rethink Robotics. With a height of approximately 1.7 meters, a gripper arm and a suction pad, the Baxter is able to handle various tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, packing, etc. For teaching, he is particularly attractive to get an insight into the industry. Through a large number of sensors, the Baxter can perceive and respond to persons and objects in his environment. This allows students to edit their own industrial projects and experiment with the Baxter without risks using ROS.
