In principle, anyone can become a member of our team.

The only requirement is being an enrolled student at Ostfalia. It doesn’t matter which campus or faculty you come from. No prior knowledge is required either.

We’re happy about everyone who has an interest in robotics.

How to reach us

The easiest way is to send us an e-mail. An “I’d like to join you” is already completely sufficient. We can then clarify questions and details along the way.

Alternatively, you can simply drop by during our working hour and see for yourself.

We meet on Mondays and Thursdays from 4 pm in our rooms. You’ll find these at Am Exer 2D, Faculty of Computer Science, in rooms 281-283. Just go through the archway, take the left entrance and head all the way up.

You can get involved in different areas with us

Of course, a large part is software development, but we’re also looking for support with hardware and organization.

Areas where we need your support:

  • Low-level hardware software development
  • Machine vision and neural networks
  • Behavior and robot-to-robot communication
  • PCB design
  • Design of components and assemblies
  • Maintenance and further development of our website and internal tools
  • Public relations
  • Managing our social media channels
  • Video editing and recording for our YouTube channel
  • Travel planning
  • Operation and maintenance of our infrastructure (server, user management, office equipment, etc.)

We’re also open to all suggestions. If you have an idea for how to improve our robots, we’ll find a way to support you in making it happen.

How much time should you bring?

As a team member, you don’t take on any obligation. Everyone invests as much time as they want. Even one hour a week is helpful.

We meet twice a week for 1-3 hours for our working hour. At the beginning, it would be nice if you could regularly attend one of the two days. That way you get to know everyone and learn what we’re currently working on.

But we’re all students too, and we know that there are phases where you have more or less time available. So it’s not a problem if you can’t make it for a few weeks.
