Our team consists of five humanoid robots, all based on a customized version of the Nimbro-OP design. They are 85cm tall, weigh seven kilograms, and have 20 degrees of freedom.

Intel NUC mini computers and Nvidia Jetson TX2 units serve as computing units.

Apart from the computing units and motors, they are manufactured entirely at Ostfalia.

Hans

Together with his “brother” Detlef, Hans forms the core of the team. Both have already traveled around the world several times and have been through countless hardware iterations. Whether in a match or in teaching, both can always be relied on.




Detlef

Detlef is also used in the robotics lecture in the master’s program. There, students can test their implementation of a humanoid gait cycle on the robot.




Gambi

Gambi was created in cooperation with the Brazilian team Taura Bots. The name is derived from the Brazilian word gambiarra, which describes an improvisation or an unprofessional solution to a problem. Accordingly, we often use him for new and experimental hardware, or sometimes even as a spare parts store.

Sara

Sara and Jutta are both currently being built and are planned as reinforcements for the KidSize league. While the TeenSize league had a team of three robots, the KidSize league requires at least four.




Jutta

Just like Sara, Jutta still has to prove herself on the world stage of RoboCup.
