RoHOW 2023 - Day 1
Today we would like to report on the events of the first day of RoHOW in Hamburg. RoHOW is an event hosted by TU Hamburg that is dedicated to promoting education and networking within robotics. Over 100 students from all over the world who do research in humanoid robotics are taking part in this inspiring event. The main goal is the exchange of information between the RoboCup teams of the various universities and research institutes.
Participants have the unique opportunity here to attend captivating lectures and interactive workshops, to compete with other teams in exciting competitions, and to make new contacts. Over a period of three days, we can exchange ideas with other teams and experience stimulating workshops. The get-together on Friday evening was not only an opportunity to meet new people but also a fascinating glimpse into the world of robotics.
In total, 11 teams are taking part in this event, which is organized by the Hamburg team, the HULKs. The first day ended in a cozy round over hot mulled wine, with the Hamburg team even serving the beer in green.
After the successful start on Friday, we now look forward to the coming days. We are eager for informative talks, interactive workshops and the opportunity to share our knowledge with experts. Our robots Jutta and Gambi will accompany us and will surely provide for interesting conversations and explore the field on their own legs.
