RoHOW 2023 - Day 2
Today is the second day of RoHOW in Hamburg. Besides the keynotes from the event’s sponsors, Airbus as well as Dräger and cc.systems, there were various talks on every conceivable robotics topic. Although a large part was tailored very much to a different league, we were nonetheless able to take away quite a bit from them too.
A highlight for our team members Mia and David was the talk they gave in the evening, in which we got into an exchange with the SPL about the hardware challenges in the different leagues. Particularly exciting was also the ceremonial christening of the new HTWK Robots and their induction into the team. In addition, some very entertaining workshops were offered. There were topics such as: “How do you open a bottle of beer?” and “How does a successful snowball fight work?” Moreover, a new walker was tested for the first time today; whether and to what extent it will be used in the future will become clear once it is integrated into the overall system.
After a day full of conversations and progress, we decided to visit a Hamburg Christmas market. There the evening ended over one (or two) mulled wines together, before we fell into our beds tired and content.
