Robocup 2025 Salvador - Days 6 and 7
And faster than expected, the RoboCup was over again. On the last day, only the final games and the closing party were on the program – but also packing up and transporting our robots back to the hotel. Many teams used the day once more for technical exchange, networking – and the cheerful swapping of stickers, PCBs and merch. Among other things, we were able to trade one of our cable-tester PCBs for a PCB from the NUbots (Australia). Once the stress of the previous days eased, some of us unfortunately also felt the physical exhaustion: several colds and a food poisoning meant that we unfortunately took only a few pictures from this day. Despite everything, we look back on an exhausting but incredibly enriching week – with many new contacts and old friends in the RoboCup community. We are already looking forward to seeing everyone again next year.
Our return trip began on 21.07. at 12 o’clock with checking out of the hotel. Unfortunately, there was no time to explore Salvador; instead we used the morning to at least enjoy the beach briefly. Afterwards, a shuttle took us to the airport, and from there we boarded a roughly ten-hour flight to Paris. After a five-hour stopover, which was delayed by another 90 minutes due to technical problems, our connecting flight to Hanover finally took off. Around 6 p.m. we arrived back in Wolfenbüttel – a return trip of around 25 hours in total. Once home, we shared first impressions with the rest of the team and caught up on the very, very badly needed sleep.
